Narrative Begins with Joel Osmond's Backstory

After his father, an itinerant preacher dies, young Joel Osmond sets off on his own. A few years later, Joel Osmond, now an up-and-coming evangelist, meets and marries Susan Gilmore. He gives her a head to toe cosmetic up-fit and a personal color scheme and trademarks her new name, Suzze.

Soon after, Joel and Suzze are at the top of their game. Suzze is a superstar, one of the most admired women in America. During a sermon in front of thousands, Joel drops dead.

The President, his Chief of Staff and his National Science Advisor, “The Smartest Human in the World,” meet to discuss circumstances of Joel’s death. Laura Laurence Gelb, the Science Advisor, suggests there will be twelve, since that is a magic number. And, they note, Suzze Osmond has disappeared.

With the death of Joel Osmond, and the disappearance of Suzze, Pastor Steve now has the biggest everything, the biggest house, the biggest jet, the biggest bank account, the biggest congregation, and truth be told, the biggest dick, although ...

A few days later, Suzze is found, frozen and half dead, hiding under The Prosperity Cathedral tour bus in the church parking lot. The security guard who discovered her, Dub Whitaker, is later found to have his Prosperity Cathedral windbreaker stuffed full of cash.

After being held for psychiatric evaluation, Suzze returns home, where she fears that God himself is out to her.

Using the precedent set by a recent court decision declaring brainwashing a crime, Goldwater and Cruze appeal for plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit for those claiming to have been brainwashed by religion.

In an effort to atone for her sins, real or imagined, Suzze Osmond has finished dragging all her worldly goods to the curb. [Paying off the prologue.] The crowd is gone, except for the old man who still sits alone on the other side of the security gate. Suzze sits outside, enjoying her newfound peace and freedom. A robotic, ant-like creature attaches itself to her ass.

Pastor Buddy Young is discovered dead by his personal barista, his head apparently cracked after choking on a cup of a Caffè Macchiato Chiaro with extra microfoam and hand-ground Korintje cinnamon .

Suzze gets into an argument with her commode, Hopkins, and her best friend, a statue of a cherub named Matthew, who are tired of her past behavior and unsympathetic to her current situation. As the argument grows ever more heated Suzze grows ever more psychotic. She notices the old man in the security cameras, still lurking in the shadows. Realizing she will find no peace at home; she dashes off into the night hoping the old man might have the answers to her predicament.

Williford ‘Pudge’ Ransom is giving his business partner and object of his obsession, Pastor Steve, a massage. They discuss church business, the death of Joel Osmond and the impending bankruptcy of the Vatican. Steve suggests that he might hook up with his old love interest, Suzze.

The old man was not to be found. Suzze is now happily at home on a park bench. It is cold. A page from a magazine blowing in the wind lands in her lap. It reports the economic collapse of the country and the escalating conflicts between Christian factions. Homeless people gather around her, sitting at her feet. She does not speak and makes a point of ignoring them while reading the article. When she lowers the page from the magazine, she sees the old man in his trenchcoat and raincap sitting cross-legged in front of her.

Professor Popiel Popoff, seller of holy water, drowns in a bucket of freshly urine-infused sanctus aqua benedicta.

Back on her bench, Suzze wonders what the old man is up to and why more people continue to gather around her.

Without her asking, he tells her they are looking for a sign.

She pauses, looks around, then picks up a paring knife lying nearby to slowly and purposefully slice out her breast implants, which plop like jellyfish onto the ground.

Without speaking, Suzze and the Old Man rise and walk away. As they round the corner, she takes his arm, "What's your name?"

To the horror of millions, the beloved Squeezy Jeezy dolls begin to recite bible verses instructing children to wage violence against their parents as decreed by Holy Scripture.
